Perhaps Glenn Alan is best known as the founder of the DC Black Theatre Festival, one of the Nation’s most sought after theatre festivals. This 10-day festival filled with plays, music, film, dance, workshops and ground breaking performances by Artists from around the world filled. It’s no wonder that in a few short years Mr. Alan has become a very sought after producer, having produced nearly 400 plays and building a network of actors, directors and theatre professionals.

 

Mr. Alan seriously began pursuing his interest in writing in 1986 while attending Howard University. Since that time, he has created voluminous works, which include books of poetry, plays, short stories and concerts of jazz poetry.

 

Mr. Alan has written 14 plays, 7 books of poetry, 3 novels, 2 collections of short stories and a blues CD with  legendary Bassist BT Richardson.
