Capstone Coaching is a free service designed to help graduate students successfully complete their Graduate Research Capstone.

    Capstone Coaching is a system of structuring the research process to increase productivity by combining academic guidance with emotional support, to help graduate students through the research process.

    Capstone Coaching works closely with the student to help design a meaningful capstone project by creating a realistic work plan and using a project management approach.


    Capstone Coaches are experienced scholars who have successfully completed their Graduate Research Project, and vetted by the Springfield Approval Committee to work directly with you.

    Capstone Coaches are committed to help students become better project manager of their research by coaching them to address and overcome barriers such as anxiety, fear, negative thinking, procrastination, perfectionism, and writer's block.

    Capstone Coaches are highly committed to helping Springfield Graduate Students finish their Graduate Research Project, by helping to create and maintain a positive learning experience. We focus on the individual needs of the graduate student and provide honest, straightforward, confidential, and constructive feedback.

Capstone Coaches meet with you every week to review your progress, coach you to overcome internal and external challenges, and help you set goals.


Our coaching service is delivered by telephone, email, Skype or in-person depending on the needs and availability of both the coach and the student. We work with graduate students throughout all seven campus of Springfield college: Boston, MA - Houston, TX - Milwaukee, WI - St. Johnsbury, VT - Springfield, MA - Tampa Bay, FL - Wilmington, DE.


We design an overall structure for completing your graduate research project that includes a master time-line and weekly action plans to help you develop:

1) a master time-line, giving you a true sense of how long it will take you to finish,

2) a clear set of doable tasks you can complete on a weekly and day-to-day basis.

3) we offer technical assistance to graduate students as they carry out their research.

4) we offer help with developing research topic, help with literature reviews, help with methodology, and help with data collection and analysis.

5) and finally, we help to competently execute the study, and successfully complete and present the final product.
